15 minute Chili Garlic Mushroom Recipe

I love mushroom recipes and the ones that need just 15 minutes are always the best. Use this garlic mushroom recipe as a side dish or as an appetizer with some cheesy bread, it will be a winner at any dinner table. In my house, this recipe is always on repeat because of how easy it is to prep and of course tastes absolutely incredible.

This Garlic Mushroom recipe is the easiest and quickest appetizer you can make. The recipe calls for only 4 Main Ingredients and is lightly seasoned with salt, and pepper for taste. Not only is it easy to make these garlic mushrooms; they taste absolutely incredible. Serve these standalone or with some butter or cheese toast; the combination is to die for. Add in the red chili for that spicy kick; I de-seed them before using which adds that nice taste and kick without making it really spicy.

Chili Garlic Mushroom Recipe Notes

I used button mushrooms for this recipe but you can use any variety of mushrooms you like for this and it will taste amazing.

You can prep ahead and keep garlic minced, and red chili chopped and make 15-20 minutes before serving. You can also use minced garlic confit for this recipe.

Red chili adds a spicy kick to this recipe but to reduce heat I de-seed them before using. If you love the spice then leave them in. And yes red chili is totally optional but definitely adds a beautiful flavor and hence the name chili garlic mushroom

Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container. Keeps well for 1 week. Reheat in a pan or microwave for 30 seconds, mix, and heat at 10-second intervals after to avoid overheating.

  • 400 gm Button mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 4-5 garlic minced
  • 1 red chili chopped and de-seeded
  • Olive Oil to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 stalk of green onion finely chopped


  • PROCESS: Place a pan on medium-high heat; add oil and mushrooms. Sauté for 5-6 mins.
    400 gm Button mushrooms, 2 tbsp Olive Oil, 4-5 garlic, 1 red chili, Olive Oil, Black pepper
  • Add garlic, and chopped chili along with salt and pepper as per taste. Sauté for another couple of minutes or till mushrooms are cooked to likeness.
  • Add in green onions; mix and turn off the gas. Let it sit for a minute before serving.

  • SERVING: Serve as a standalone appetizer or with this cheesy bread. Enjoy!
