Date night dessert

Rum Flavored Panna Cotta

My first dessert blog had to be Italian since you all know that it is my favorite cuisine. Today I have for you; a simple yet elegant dish made with cooked cream, sugar and gelatine. Panna Cotta is an effortless dessert that tastes so creamy and delicious when ready. Just in time for Valentines, make it for your loved ones or treat yourself with this delectable dessert. I flavored my Panna Cotta with coconut-based Cuban rum but you can flavor it with coffee, vanilla extract, spiced rum or any flavor of your liking.  Top it with fresh strawberry glaze like I did or with blueberries. raspberries or simply melted chocolate and fresh fruits! Mouthwatering, isn’t it? Let’s dive into the recipe 👩‍🍳

In a bowl of cold water, soak the gelatin sheets

Place a pan on medium-low heat and add cream, milk, rum, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil. Take it off the pan and add the soaked sheets and keep whisking it till the gelatin sheets are completely dissolved in it. Pour the mixture into molds to set (You can use any glass as an alternative) and let it set in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours

Let’s make the sauce:
