Cook Time: 15 minutes minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes minutes
Servings: 6 people

Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cup All Purpose Flour plus more for dusting
- ½ cup Butter melted (! stick of butter)
- ½ cup Brown Sugar
- ¼ tsp Baking powder
- ¼ tsp Nutmeg
- ¼ tsp Cinnamon
- 1 Egg
- Pinch of Salt
- 100 gm Chocolate melted, optional for dipping
- 1 tbsp Sprinkles
Instructions
PROCESS:
- Preheat oven to 375℉
- In a bowl; add in the melted butter and whisk the brown sugar in. Once sugar is fully incorporated; whisk in the egg until it has a caramel-like consistency.
- Add all the dry ingredients except the melted chocolate. Fold till it forms a soft dough. Do not overmix; just until it is fully incorporated. Let the dough rest for 30 mins in the fridge or 15 mins in the freezer.
- Roll out the dough about ¼ inch in thickness; once cold the dough will be easy to work with but you can dust with some flour if you like. I like to work in batches so feel free to split the dough in two. Keep one in the fridge while you work with the other.
- Using a cookie cutter cut the desired shape on the rolled dough and carefully place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 11 mins which I find is the perfect time for slightly softer cookies. It slightly hardens as it cools so count that in.
SERVING:
- Serve it hot from the oven or dip half of the cookie in melted chocolate and let it sit in the fridge to coat chocolate properly. You can add some sprinkles or sugar stars to make them look pretty.
HOW TO STORE:
- Store in a cool, dry place for a week or store in the fridge in an airtight container for 2-3 weeks.
GIFTING:
- Place the chocolate-coated cookies in a holiday-themed box lined with parchment paper or holiday-inspired paper. Add a cute bow and it’s ready to gift!
